Creating a Pleasant Working Environment

With a declining birthrate and a growing proportion of elderly people, training of the next generation is an important challenge. JPR continues to improve the working environment so each of the employees can produce good results while fulfilling a balanced work/life balance.

Childcare Policy

Support for pregnant women This applies to female employees who are pregnant or have children under 1 year old, employees can take time for health-related appointments and this will not be considered as leave or lateness.
Childcare leave Available until the child is one year old.
Restrictions on overtime and reduced working hours for childcare During the period until the end of September for children in the first grade of elementary school, working hours can be set to 6 hours a day.
Overtime work can be limited to 24 hours a month and 150 hours a year.
Exemption from overtime work During the period until the child becomes 3 years old, overtime work exemption is possible if requested by the person concerned.
Use of shifts to raise children Employees can work in shifts from 8:30 to 17:00 until the end of March of the child’s third grade of elementary school.
Nursing leave for children Employees can get up to 7 days a year for nursing preschool children, and up to 10 days a year if they have 2 or more children. (No salary provided)

Special Leave for jury service

JPR has established special leave in accordance with the citizen jury system.

  • Employees can be absent for days to be present at the municipal court and travel days when the notification of citizen jury service selection is received.
  • Absence will also be granted for travel and attending jury service during any trial.

System for Caregiving

A system for leave / absence or short-time work is defined when a family member of the JPR employee requires nursing care. Different options can be selected depending on the individual condition.

Caregiving leave This can be granted up to 5 days per year for one family member requiring nursing care, and up to 10 days per year if there are 2 or more family members requiring nursing care.
Caregiving absence This is available for a total of 93 days per family.
Exemption from overtime work Exemption from overtime work is possible when the applicant meets the requirements for nursing care leave and makes a request. The period will be from the time when a person can apply for nursing care leave until the end of nursing care (such as the death of the family member).
Reduced work hours for caregiving In principle, working hours are 6 hours per day, but individual circumstances are taken into consideration when setting working hours. This can be used up to 2 times within 3 consecutive years from the start of use.

Special Leave for Volunteers

JPR is supporting the volunteer activities of the employees.
A special leave of up to 3 days per year can be acquired for volunteer activities.

Retirement

The mandatory retirement age is set to 65 years old at JPR.

Incentives for long service

JPR has a system to reward employees with a long service record.
Incentives and special leave are awarded depending on the years of service, aiming to give employees a chance to refresh themselves by experiencing something different from their daily life.

Work hours

JPR allows workers to work in a flexible and efficient way, setting up work hours and work days depending on how busy the work is or depending on the need to correspond with the people outside the company.
